Description/Origin: Fighter pilot Dirk Drake was chosen to fly an experimental spacecraft further into outer space than any human craft had ever gone before. Captured by advance scouts of an alien invasion force, and subjected to cruel experiments to determine the limits of human endurance, Captain Drake managed to escape and make his way back to his vessel. When the aliens fired upon his fleeing spacecraft the energy of their weapons somehow fused with the experimental space drive, and granted powerful superhuman abilities to Captain Drake. He destroyed the aliens' ship, and returned to Earth to warn humanity's heroes of the approaching fleet. Now, as the hero FieldForce, he uses his powers to protect all of humanity from alien dangers, as well as from threats from corrupt and powermad humans.
