Description/Origin: Alex Delgado's fire manipulation powers manifested in high school. His mother was worried that her son's abilities would label him a freak, so she begged her son not to use his powers. A few years later, his mother was murdered in a botched mugging in King's Row, and at her funeral after lighting an eternal blaze in her honor, Alex took the name Funeral-Pyre and swore to use his powers to prevent anyone else from losing someone they loved.
