Description/Origin: Since he was a boy, James Rodgers has always despised the 5th Column. As an adult, James dreamed of challenging the 5th Column whenever he passed a group of them recruiting on the street. But as an average citizen of Paragon City, James lacked the power and resources to put down the 5th. One night while sleeping, a dark spirit visited James. The dark spirit was an embodiment of lost souls, killed senselessly by the 5th Column. The dark spirit was drawn to James by his strong will and strong opposition to the 5th Column. Without speaking a word, the dark spirit dropped a Crimson colored gem on James' bed and vanished. Terrified by the startling apparition, James grabbed the gem to discard it out his open bedroom window. But as soon as James touched the gem, he was empowered with a surge of dark negative energy. James could feel his muscles rippling with power. Enough power to take down the 5th Column, or whomever stood in his way. James' mission was clear. To join the ranks of Paragon's super heroes. And To fight for freedom and justice.
