Description/Origin: Once a normal computer geek, Ed Lastard became weak and ill due to spending too much time on the computer in his basement. The lack of sunlight and the lack of activity had begun to wear away his body. In order to quickly rebuild his muscular system, doctors gave Ed experimental vitamins and muscle boosters. Over a short time, the drugs had an unexpected effect and Tortuga turned into an eight-foot-tall hulking beast with amazing strength and thick shell-like skin. Adopting the name "Tortuga" for his likeness to turtles, he escaped the mocking of society by holing himself up in Paragon City's sewers. Sadly, after calling the sewers home for many years, Tortuga has been driven out of by the hordes of Vahzilok, Clockwork, and other villainous factions that have settled in P.C.. When above ground, Tortuga is required to wear a helmet breathing mask to help him deal with the cleaner air. Tortuga vows to take out the hordes with the help of his teammates so he can peacefully program html in Paragon City's basement once again!
