Description/Origin: Alaric 7 is the last known survivor of a community of Visigoths which had been living secretly in North America for centuries, hiding from ancient enemies. Alaric Baltha, named after a string of Visigothic kings said to be his ancestors, left this community while young, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York, though he received training as a Visigothic noble, as well as some strange, shiny green stuff, a gift to his ancestors from ancient allies.

Later, he returned home- only to find that his people's inhuman enemies had found them. For four years, he was involved in a hidden but bloody war. He was the only known human survivor. The last of the Visigothic Council had declared him "Alaric VII".

Alaric moved to Paragon City, calling himself Alaric 7. With his unusual name, combat abilities, instinct for helping others, and the strangely-shining "A" on his shirt, he was soon mistaken for one of the city's heroes. During a kidnaping case when none of the city's official heroes were available, he was hurriedly recruited, and he thereafter found himself more and more acting as a hero. Later, he started wearing a costume. He later redesigned his costume to better reflect his heritage.

Alaric 7 is a normal human, in extremely good physical shape, with an enormous amount of experience with hand-to-hand combat. His greatest strengths as a hero are his perseverance, determination, wits, and capacity to care about others. He has slowly come to accept his role as a hero.
