Description/Origin: Part of the original super-soldier project of the 1920's, the American Council on Eugenics (ACE) fast-forwarded their natural program after the rise of fascism throughout Europe. The Spirit of 42 was altered at the genetic level through science and went from an embryo to a fighting adult within a single year. After the war, Spirit became one of the twelve titans, a superhero group out of NYC, who's actual mission was the defence of ACE, and the eugenics program they initiated. After the destruction of ACE during the social revolution in the late 60s, Spirit of 42 went underground hunting 5th Column agents and collaborators current and those leftover from the war. During the entire Ritki war, Spirit was actually a prisoner of the Eagle Knights, a splinter faction from the 5th Column and held in the mountains of Austria. The Eagle Knights were a eugenics operation themselves and spent over a decade trying to probe the secrets from Spirits body. Spirit was actually freed during the 5th Column / Council split when agents from both factions raided the base believing it to be in the others control. Since then, Spirit has made it back to Paragon City, taking up arms once again against evil and injustice, this time with Freedom Reborn.
